Arena Mode on Null\u2019s Brawl (2025) \u2014 Like a MOBA, but Built for Speed

We originally planned to roll out Arena Mode right after the latest server update \u2014 but things didn\u2019t go quite as planned. The good news? It\u2019s almost ready.<\/p>\n
In just a few days, the main server will feature a brand-new game mode that brings the thrill of MOBA-style gameplay to the world of Brawl \u2014 but with a twist that fits perfectly on mobile. While traditional MOBA games can drag on for 10 to 30 minutes per match, Arena on Null\u2019s Brawl keeps the tempo high and the battles short, just the way we like it.<\/p>\n
Building Arena wasn\u2019t just about copying an existing formula \u2014 it was a challenge on its own. Unlike more linear and straightforward modes like Brawl Ball or Bounty, Arena required a whole new level of balance, flexibility, and tactical depth.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve already experimented with large-scale game types like mega-sized Showdown maps, but Arena demanded more. The compact battlefield means that positioning is everything. To make gameplay fair and dynamic, we had to rework respawn logic, healing zones, and area control mechanics, ensuring no team could dominate the match by holding one point the entire time.<\/p>\n
Think of Arena as a mini-MOBA with Brawl\u2019s DNA. It\u2019s faster, lighter, and doesn\u2019t waste time. To maintain pacing and competition, we designed a progression system where teams earn momentum over time \u2014 not just from raw aggression at the start. This keeps matches balanced and full of comebacks.<\/p>\n
All of this is powered by our custom battle engine, not based on default Supercell logic. That\u2019s why it took us a bit longer \u2014 but the result is worth it.<\/p>\n
